Popstar Interview With Wesley

PopStar.com: V Factory's sexy dance moves invite you off your seat and get you rocking the dance floor while their vocals and perfect harmonies intoxicate. V Factory is a pop group made up of five extraordinary and talented musicians and dancers that are ready to take on the music world. The five guys are Jared Murillo, Wesley Quinn, Asher Book, Nick "Nicky T" Teti and Nathaniel Flatt and their new music video for their chart topping song Love Struck is full of energy and begs to be danced to.

The guys are hitting the road this summer and spreading their V Factory love all over the nation so make sure you check them out. This summer the boys will drop their new CD and you will love the new sound that is coming out of V Factory. PopStar spoke with V Factory member Wesley Quinn about their new music video Love Struck and his impact on the bands choreography. Plus, we ask Wesley the most important question of all; what does the V in V Factory stand for?

PopStar: V Factory has such a great voice and provides listeners with a new style of music. Can you talk to us about the evolution of your sound?
Wesley Quinn: Two years ago when the band got put together the guys that put the band together really wanted an urban pop group. So we all went along with it and all the music they were producing was very good but it just wasn't us. As we have grown as a group we have found our own sound and we've gone in a Pop/R&B direction. That sound is more us and you will hear that on our new album that comes out at the end of the summer. You will be able to hear the change of our sound from our songs on MySpace to the songs that will be on the album.

PopStar: So the new album comes out at the end of the summer. Do you guys have a name yet?
Wesley Quinn: Actually, we don't! We need to get on that. We have four months and we are about 90% done with the album. We are going to go back and freshen up some of the older songs and we have one more song to record.

PopStar: Is there a city you have visited on the tour that you would like to return to during your off time?
Wesley Quinn: Definitely Chicago. Chicago is such a cool city and when we got there we all passed out so we were not able to experience the city. So I would definitely like to go back to Chicago.

PopStar: You and the guys seem to be such great friends; do you ever fight or it is always fun times?
Wesley Quinn: Most of the time it is fun times. There are times where someone says something to annoy the other person and for a couple seconds we bicker back and forth. However, two minutes later it is like nothing ever happened. We have never had any real crazy fights and I hope there are none to come in the future.

PopStar: What is the nicest thing a fan has done for you guys?
Wesley Quinn: All the fans are really nice. One fan made us a book, it was a huge book filled with every picture we had taken with her and every conversation we ever had. She made this great scrapbook for us and I thought it was the coolest thing because she was the first one to really do something like that. We are all nice guys and always talk to the fans. After the shows, we don't get on the bus and leave; we go out and mingle with the fans. Creating a personal relationship with the fans is important to us.

PopStar: Wesley, we are all dying to know. Can you please tell us what V in V Factory stands for?
Wesley Quinn: The V is a hidden meaning between the five of us. We are not going to give it away any time soon. It will probably be years down the road before we tell the truth. We are going to keep it a secret. Have you ever seen the movie castaway? You the FedEx box that Tom Hanks has the whole time? Do you ever see what is in the FedEx box? So that is going to be the V. Imagine the V being the FedEx box.

PopStar: We hear that you are an incredible dancer. Can you tell us how you got started?
Wesley Quinn: I have been dancing for 13 years! I started dancing when I was a kid and I got into it because of my little sister. I love to perform and then I got really serious about it and was trained in ballet, contemporary, and hip-hop, which made me a well rounded dancer.

PopStar: We hear that you do all the choreographing for the group, is that true?
Wesley Quinn: The guys that put the group together saw my dancing abilities and I brought that aspect to the group and now I am choreographing everything for the group. We have an artistic director that oversees the videos but when we are in the studio it is mainly just me. It is just the five of us and I get in front of the mirror and they do it over and over again and I give corrections. It is a pretty cool system we have, it makes us more independent plus it is special because not many artists do that.

PopStar: What inspires you to create such amazing routines?
Wesley Quinn: My true inspiration is Michael Jackson. Every day things inspire me and honestly it varies.

PopStar: Message to the fans.
Wesley Quinn: Keep doing what you love to do and never give. You only live once, so live life to fullest.
